Manchester is the heart of Northeast Iowa. This new logo for the city of Manchester celebrates the strengths of this city–family, community, and opportunity. The new logo features parallel lines on both sides of the word "Iowa." These lines represent Manchester's ties to Iowa's highway system. The city can boast that it is truly the only community in Iowa on a four-lane highway within a 50-minute drive of three of the ten largest communities in Iowa. Manchester's location is also represented by the two parallel rings surrounding the icon with the three smaller circles representing Dubuque, Cedar Rapids, and Waterloo.
Within these rings appears a design representing a blossoming plant. This symbol is perfect for Manchester as several interpretations can be applied. If you look closely you can almost make out the letter "M" within the design.
A modern and sophisticated color palette of blue and brown represents a modern minded but grounded community. The brown hues connect Manchester to Iowa's strong agricultural system. Turquoise has long been know as a symbol of wealth in many ancient civilizations. Manchester's wealth lies within it's families, community, and opportunity. Just as a turquoise stone is a very personal and meaningful gem to the person that wears it, so is a logo such as this to the community it represents.
Currently, the logo is available in these formats:
Three versions of the new logo are also available. Each version has a solid white background or a transparent background option.
