    Early Dismissal Schedule 

    v  SENIORS: Modules 1 & 2 of Financial Literacy are due Friday, September 22nd 

    v  There are Pink Out Volleyball t-shirt order forms in the office. They are due back to the High School by Friday, September 22nd.

    v  Sign-up sheets for Homecoming Powderpuff Volleyball can be picked up in the High School Office and returned to Ms. Osborne by Monday September 25th.

    v  The registration deadline for October 28, 2017 ACT test is September 22nd. Please see the counseling office for further information if interested 

    v  Anyone interested in being a Wrestling Cheerleader, please sign up in the High School Office by Thursday, September 21.

    v   YADC. We will be having our first large group meeting on Tuesday, October 3rd. at 6:00 p.m..  Bring ideas for our shirts this year and activities that you wish to do.  Everybody is welcome.

    v  Students: Don't forget to check out the Counseling Office's Job Board. A new posting has been added.

    v  Several extra 2016-2017 yearbooks are available from the high school office for anyone who has not purchased one yet.

    v  SENIORS: Starting Friday, September 15th, Senior Meetings will take place in the Counseling Office. Each Senior is assigned a designated time in 15 minute increments. Please be prompt at your assigned time. Check postings outside of the Counseling Office, main high school office and/or lunch line for your date and time. You do not need to bring anything with you to your appointment time.

    v  FRENCH STUDENTS: Augustana College in Rock Island, IL is hosting a "French Day" on Sunday, September 24th.  French students and teachers from middle school to college are invited to attend.  There will be conversational activities and French games, and all are encouraged to bring French-themed treats.  If you are interested, stop by Mrs. Sandberg's room (#250) to pick up an info sheet and return your signed parental permission form by the end of the day on Wednesday, September 20th at latest.  There are a limited number of spots, and it's first come, first serve, so if you'd like to go, get your form returned as promptly as possible.

    v  JUNIORS: If you are in the top 20% of your class, you may want to take the PSAT test. The pre-SAT test gives you the opportunity to earn scholarships depending on your score. The test is Wednesday morning, October 11th. The cost is $16 and we only have 10 seats available on a first come, first serve basis. Payment is due at the time of registration, and we have official student study guides and practice test packets for you, upon registration. Sign up with the fee in the Guidance Office by Monday, October 2nd.

    v  A representative from Kirkwood will be in the Counseling Office on Thursday, September 21st at 9:35 for interested juniors and seniors 

    v  A representative from St. Ambrose will in the Counseling Office on Thursday, September 21st at 1:15 for any interested junior or senior.

    v  A representative from Upper Iowa will be in the Counseling Office on Thursday, September 28th at 1:15 to meet with any interested junior or senior.

    v  A representative from UNI will be in the counseling office Monday, October 9th at 1:15 pm to meet with any interested juniors or seniors.

    v  A representative from Hawkeye will be in the Counseling Office on Thursday, October 19th at 1:15 for any interested junior or senior.

    v  A representative from Mt. Mercy will be in the Counseling Office to meet with any interested junior or senior on Monday, November 6th at 9:35 

    v  A representative from La James will be in the Counseling Office on Monday, November 6th at 1:15 for any interested junior or senior.

    v  Northeast Iowa Career Learning Link (CLL) is a program that exposes

    students to high-demand career areas and sets them on the pathway to

    career and educational success beyond high school. The program provides

    work-based learning opportunities for students in partnership with local

    businesses. Students are able to start enrolling in the program between the Spring Semester of their Sophomore year and the Fall Semester of their Junior year.  Students who are interested in joining the program or who are currently involved in the program may meet with Holly Maurer in the ICN Room on the following dates:

    v  Homecoming T-shirt Order Forms are available in the High School Office.  Orders are due by MONDAY, September 18, at 10 AM - that's a quick turnaround so get your orders in. You can also order online at http://stores.teamelitesports.com/wd_homecoming through Sunday, September 17.

    v  If you are interested in joining YADC, a sign-up sheet is in the office.  Members that are interested can volunteer for helping at Camp Courageous next Tuesday.  You must get a permission form from the office and have it signed and returned by noon Monday, September 18th, 2017.
