Hawk Time Schedule 

v  Color guard try-outs will be Wednesday, May 30th at 3:20 in the band room.

v  Any boys interested in summer bowling, pick up a schedule in the HS office. Beginners through advanced, everyone is welcome. 

v  Marker Recycling: Don't throw away those dried out and broken markers as you start cleaning out your lockers and backpacks. Bring any brand and any type of marker (highlighters, dry erase, Sharpies, etc.) to the library to be sent to Crayola for recycling. Please drop them off by Wednesday, May 30th. 

v  ALEKS TESTING UPDATE: Starting July 1st, NICC is requiring for all ALEKS assessments to be proctored. If you are planning to assess this summer, you will need to contact the NICC Manchester Center. Please refer to your email for more detailed information regarding opportunities to assess.

v  The Thespian Club is organizing a stand-up comedy and improv night for May 29th in the Auditorium. It will start at 8 PM and last until 9:30 PM. If you are interested in being part of the show, you can sign up in the library until Wednesday, May 23rd. If you are not interested in being part of the show, however, save the date, we'd love to have you there!!! For further information contact Tina Ostrander at 563 920 0511

v  JOB BOARD: There are local businesses and community members looking for high school students for help! These part time positions could lead to full time positions after high school. Also, your sponsor would be a great future reference for you as you apply for jobs, apply for scholarships and colleges, and not to mention looking great on your resume!

v  Northeast Iowa Career Learning Link (CLL) is a program that exposes

students to high-demand career areas and sets them on the pathway to

career and educational success beyond high school. The program provides

work-based learning opportunities for students in partnership with local

businesses. Students are able to start enrolling in the program between the Spring Semester of their Sophomore year and the Fall Semester of their Junior year.  Students who are interested in joining the program or who are currently involved in the program may meet with Holly Maurer in the ICN Room on the following dates:

          Friday, May 25th from 12:30 - 3:30
