 Early Dismissal Schedule

  

GENERAL


  • SENIORS: Many new local scholarships have been added to the West Delaware Scholarship page. Check back frequently in the next couple of weeks for more to come!

 

  • JUNIORS: FREE ACT study session on March 20th or 27th from 5:30-9:00 PM. Registration is required and space is limited. This is on a first-come, first-serve basis so act quickly! See Guidance for more information and registration form

 

  • New job postings have been posted on the Job Board in Guidance. Check back frequently for additional new postings.


UPCOMING MEETINGS/EVENTS at WD

 

·         Driver Education forms are available in the High School Office.  Registration is first come, first served.

 

·         Volunteers are needed to play with kids while parents are in conferences on Wednesday and Thursday, March 8th and 9th, in the Lambert commons. "Kids Place" will be held from 2:30-6:30 both days.  Please see sign-up sheets in Mrs. Bramel or Mr. Carper's classrooms. Indicate the day/hours you can help. Adults will be in charge.

 

·         FCA meeting on today, February 22nd. Begins at 7:15 in the Library. 

 

·         Boys Track: All boys participating in track must have weight room
testing done by this Friday. We will begin practice Monday, Feb. 27th,
in the weight room.

 

·         Post season wrestling meeting immediately after school today, February 22, 2017, in Coach Voss's Room.  Bring warm up top and singlet to the meeting.

 

·         If you are planning to exhibit as a FFA member at the Delaware County Fair please make sure you have picked up the paper work from Mrs. Schnieders.

 

·         This week is National FFA Week and we will be hiding plastic animals all week to turn in to Mrs. Schnieders for prizes.


§  Today is Tractor Day

 

                             Parking in front of the school as well as the lot by the gas substation will                                            be for tractors only.


§  Friday is Ag Olympics

·         Interested in going out for Boys Soccer? There will be a meeting on Thursday, February 23, at 5:30 PM, in the Middle School Commons.

·         Any student interested in going out for soccer, boys or girls, please sign up in the High School Office.

 

·         A representative from Upper Iowa will be in Guidance on Thursday,  February 23rd, at

1:40 to meet with any interested junior or senior. 


·         A representative from Northeast Iowa Community College will be in Guidance on Thursday, March 2nd, at 9:35, for any interested junior or senior. 

 

·         A representative from Mount Mercy will be in Guidance on Monday, April 3rd at 1:15 to meet with any interested juniors or seniors. 

 

·         A representative from Northwest Iowa Community College will be in Guidance on Thursday, April 6th, at 9:35, for any interested junior or senior.

 

·         ACT: Signup deadline for ACT testing on April 8, 2017 is March 3rd. See Guidance for further information.


  • RYLA - Rotary Youth Leadership Awards:  The Manchester Rotary Club will be sponsoring students to attend the Rotary Leadership Conference.  The conference will be held at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa from Sunday, July 16th through Friday, July 21st.  Students interested in attending should have excelled in one or more areas of high school involvement and have leadership experience and/or potential. The conference is available to any sophomore or junior (class of 2019 or 2018).  The Manchester Rotary will pay the conference fee for students to attend. See Mrs. Hermsen for more information if you are interested in applying.
