Hawk Time Schedule

v  Anyone interested in going out for soccer, please sign up in the High School Office. 

v  Do you feel like there is enough activities in Manchester for teens to do? Would you enjoy a drive-in movie theater, roller skating rink or bike paths? If you are looking to be involved in projects to engage Manchester, join us at the Fire Station, Thursday, March 1st. At this event you will have the opportunity to meet with other community members to discuss potential projects you are interested in and brainstorm ways to take action. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. If you are interested in making the community a better place, please join us!

v  FFA Members if you would like to sign up to attend the Delaware County Ag career show and Luncheon on March 14 please sign up in Mrs. Schnieders room by March 1.

v  FFA members if you would like to attend a leadership workshop presented by the National FFA President on March 30 you must be signed up by March 1 in Mrs. Schnieders room. 

v  TERM 3 EARLY GRADUATION: Seniors who wish to graduate early, and who have met all graduation requirements, must apply to the principal for early graduation. Deadline for Term 3 early graduation is March 6, 2018. Early graduation request forms are available in the High School Counseling Office. 

v  The Change for Children Challenge starts Wednesday, February 21st and goes through February 28th.. Each first hour class will receive a March of Dimes Change box. The first hour class that collects the most money in CHANGE/coins wins their 'breakfast of choice' provided by FBLA members. A special “runner up” prize will also be awarded.

Starting Monday, February 26th, we're raising the bar to allow you to "bomb" your opponents with ‘bills’ for babies. When you place paper currency of any amount ($1, 5, 10) in an opponents' box, that amount is subtracted from their 'change' total. 

v  FBLA: Anyone who paid $25 dues this year has an FBLA t-shirt; there are still some that have not been picked up. Skills tests are in; see Mrs. Bramel to schedule a test time if you're in a production event. Business Achievement Awards deadline is February 28th.

v  Boys Golf will have a short meeting TODAY Tuesday, February 27th right after school in the High School Commons. If you cannot make it to the meeting and would like to go out for golf, contact Coach Imsland at

v  Student volunteers are needed to play with kids while parents are in conferences on Wednesday and Thursday, March 7th and 8th, in the Lambert commons. "Kids Place" will be held from 2:30-6:30 both days. Please sign up for times that work for you with Mrs. Bramel or Mr. Carper.  Adults will be in charge.

v  FREE ACT PREP SESSION - Do you plan on taking the ACTs or retaking your ACTs? The ACT prep session may be the right choice for you! A FREE ACT prep session will be offered to West Delaware students on Monday, March 19th or Tuesday, March 20th from 5:30-9:00 PM. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis and is mandatory. DEADLINE IS MARCH 8TH - NO EXCEPTIONS. Please see the High School Counseling Office for the registration form and further information. This does not sign you up for the actual ACT test. This is for the study session only.     

v  ALEKS TESTING REMINDER: Students interested in college credit Statistics, PreCalculus, Calculus, Accounting I or Dosage Calculations for the 18-19 school year must have a qualifying ALEKS score by APRIL 13, 2018. Students must meet this deadline, NO EXCEPTIONS. Current Algebra II students will have one courtesy testing date in class. All other students will need to test on their own time. See the Counseling Office or any math teacher for further information.

v  UPCOMING ACT TESTING DATES: April 14th, June 9th and July 14th. Please see the Counseling Office for registration information and deadline dates.

v  SENIORS - A lot of new SCHOLARSHIPS have been posted on the West Delaware Scholarship page. Please check back frequently as new ones will continually be posted as they become available. This is an awesome opportunity for you to take advantage of for FREE money as you are considering your future college/career options.

v  JOB BOARD: The Job Board has a new listing. Interested students may stop in the Counseling Office for further details.

v  A representative from Simpson College will be in the High School Counseling Office on Thursday, March 1st at 9:35 for any interested junior or senior.

v  A representative from UNI will be in the Counseling Office to meet with interested juniors or seniors on Monday, March 19th at 1:15.

v  A representative from Mt. Mercy will be in the Counseling Office on Thursday, March 22nd at 9:35.

v  A representative from Iowa State University will be in the Counseling Office to meet with interested juniors or seniors on Monday, April 16th at 1:15.

v  Northeast Iowa Career Learning Link (CLL) is a program that exposes

students to high-demand career areas and sets them on the pathway to

career and educational success beyond high school. The program provides

work-based learning opportunities for students in partnership with local

businesses. Students are able to start enrolling in the program between the Spring Semester of their Sophomore year and the Fall Semester of their Junior year.  Students who are interested in joining the program or who are currently involved in the program may meet with Holly Maurer in the ICN Room on the following dates:
