 Early Dismissal Schedule

 

GENERAL

  • Juniors and Seniors- Prom t-shirt money is due to the office by this Friday, March 31st.
  • GRADES 9, 10, 11: Please turn in your green 17-18 NICC Concurrent Class Registration form. This was mailed to your home on March 14th and was due to the Counseling Office on March 24th.
  • A group of French students will be coming to our area this summer.  If you and your family are interested in hosting, please contact Mrs. Sandberg for more information.
  • Grades 9, 10 and 11: Iowa Assessments are scheduled for Thursday, March 30th and Friday, March 31st. Please remember to bring your calculator for the Math portion of Iowa Assessments on Thursday.
  • Seniors: Iowa Assessments will be given to freshman through junior students on Thursday, March 30 and Friday, March 31. 

          - Seniors do not need to report to the High School until 10:05 am on March 30.

          - Seniors should report to the High School Commons by 9:00 am on March 31.  Caps and           gowns, Graduation information, Senior Service Day sign-up, and Financial Literacy           completion will be discussed. All seniors need to bring their chromebook to this           meeting!

  • SENIORS: If you are looking for scholarships on the WD Scholarship page, we have updated the Counseling Office website. Go to the West Delaware homepage, click on Schools, then High School, and click on the School Counseling link on the left. This will bring up our new and improved counseling website that we are very excited about. Keep working hard on those scholarships. What better reward for all your hard work than to win a scholarship!
  • New job postings have been posted on the Job Board in Guidance. Check back frequently for additional new postings 
  • Are you a SOPHOMORE?  Do you have interest in joining the Career Learning Link (CLL)? CLL gives high school students, such as yourselves, the opportunity to learn more about high-demand career areas, allows you to save TIME AND MONEY on knowing what you want to do after high school, and allows you to have one-on-one sessions with your Career Coach. To learn more about CLL, stop by and visit Holly in the ICN room. Also, check out the bulletin board outside of the High School Counseling Office.  Holly will be available the following dates and times:

§  Monday, April 3rd, 12:30-3:30, ICN Room

§  Friday, May 5th, 12:30-3:30, ICN Room

§  Friday, May 12th, 12:30-3:30, ICN Room


UPCOMING MEETINGS/EVENTS at WD

  • FBLA members: there is 1 chapter meeting in March to prepare for State. The meeting day is TODAY Wednesday, March 29th, at 7:30 a.m. and 1:15 pm. All members must attend at one of these times, and will have their BAA Future Awards finished by 3/29.
  • If you are interested in being a Football Cheerleader for the next school year, please sign up in the High School Office.

·         A representative from Mount Mercy will be in Guidance on Monday, April 3rd, at 1:15,       to meet with any interested juniors or seniors.

·         A representative from Northwest Iowa Community College will be in Guidance on Thursday, April 6th, at 9:35, for any interested junior or senior.

·         A representative from Capri College will be in Guidance to meet with interested juniors and seniors on Monday, April 10th at 9:35.

·         If you are planning to exhibit as a FFA member at the Delaware County Fair please make sure you have picked up the paper work from Mrs. Schnieders.
