Hawk Time Schedule

v  ALEKS TESTING UPDATE: Starting July 1st, NICC is requiring for all ALEKS assessments to be proctored. If you are planning to assess this summer, you will need to contact the NICC Manchester Center. Please refer to your email for more detailed information regarding opportunities to assess. 

v  Color guard auditions for the 2018-2019 school year will be this Wednesday, May 23rd at 1:30 in the band room. 

v  All students need to bring their chromebooks to school on Thursday for a meeting during Hawk Time. You will need to take them with you into the auditorium.

v  All library materials are due Friday, May 25th unless you make arrangements with Mrs. Stocks to keep items longer. Bills will be sent home this summer for any items not returned.

v  High school volleyball informational meeting Wednesday, May 23, at 7:30 am in Mr. Mather's room. 

v  Any 9-11 grade girl interested in running cross country next fall, there will be a short meeting TODAY Tuesday, May 22 in the HS Library at 7:30 AM. 

v  The Thespian Club is organizing a stand-up comedy and improv night for May 29th in the Auditorium. It will start at 8 PM and last until 9:30 PM. If you are interested in being part of the show, you can sign up in the library until Wednesday, May 23rd. If you are not interested in being part of the show, however, save the date, we'd love to have you there!!! For further information contact Tina Ostrander at 563 920 0511

v  Junior NHS members - please turn in your volunteer activity sheet as soon as possible.

v  Are you and your family interested in hosting a foreign exchange student from France this summer?  See Mrs. Sandberg (room #250) for more information.

v  UPCOMING ACT TESTING DATES: June 9th and July 14th. Please see the Counseling Office for registration information and deadline dates.

v  JOB BOARD: There are local businesses and community members looking for high school students for help! These part time positions could lead to full time positions after high school. Also, your sponsor would be a great future reference for you as you apply for jobs, apply for scholarships and colleges, and not to mention looking great on your resume!

v  Northeast Iowa Career Learning Link (CLL) is a program that exposes

students to high-demand career areas and sets them on the pathway to

career and educational success beyond high school. The program provides

work-based learning opportunities for students in partnership with local

businesses. Students are able to start enrolling in the program between the Spring Semester of their Sophomore year and the Fall Semester of their Junior year.  Students who are interested in joining the program or who are currently involved in the program may meet with Holly Maurer in the ICN Room on the following dates: 

          Friday, May 25th from 12:30 - 3:30 

Lunch Menu

Today: French toast sticks, sausage patty, baked potato rounds, orange, baked apples, OJ/milk

Wednesday: Chicken fajita wrap, breadstick, carrots, black bean salad, kiwi, peaches, OJ/milk
