Regular Schedule


  • Students, if you are interested in helping with flood clean up in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, stop in the High School Office to pick up a permission slip 
  • WDCVC Volunteer Opportunity-The Manchester Area Chamber and the Delaware County Fair Society are in need of volunteers on Sunday, October 30th to help tear down Feargrounds. Volunteers will work in shifts from 10:00 am-12:30 pm and 12:30 to finish (before 4 for sure). Interested students should contact Jessica Pape, at 563-927-4141 ext. 103 or email: Complete a WDCVC form to record your volunteer hours!
  • JUNIORS: If you are in the top 20% of your class, you may want to take the PSAT test. The      pre-SAT test gives you the opportunity to earn scholarships depending on your score. The test is Wednesday morning, October 19th. The cost is $14 and we only have 10 seats available on a first come, first serve basis. Payment is due at the time of registration, and we have official student study guides and practice test packets for you, upon registration. Sign up with the fee in the Guidance Office by Monday, October 10th.
  • National Honor Society:  Juniors and Seniors with a GPA of 3.5 and higher are eligible to apply to NHS.  You will be receiving a letter stating the instructions on how to apply.  The completed application form and one recommendation letter must be submitted to Mrs. Hermsen by Friday, October 7th by 3:30 p.m. Recommendation letters cannot be written by relatives or West Delaware staff members. Mrs. Hermsen will be offering two informational meetings on application information:  Thursday, September 29th from 7:15-7:45 a.m. and Monday, October 3rd from 3:00-3:30.  If you have questions, please see Mrs. Hermsen. 
  • There are two Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) classes in February and May in Manchester.  Please see Guidance for further information


  • Speech team will receive their folders with placements on Monday, October 3rd, at 7:45 AM in the library. You must attend this meeting to receive your folder and materials.
  • Seniors: Be sure to check your e-mails and/or see posted dates and times when you are scheduled for your senior meetings in the counseling office. The meetings start today, Tuesday, September 27th.
  • A representative from Mt. Mercy will be in Guidance TODAY Thursday, September 29th at 9:35 
  • A representative from Kirkwood will be in Guidance for any interested junior or senior on Monday, October 3rd at 9:35
  • A representative from NICC will be in Guidance to meet with any interested juniors or seniors on Monday, October 10th at 9:35.
  • A representative from Clarke University will be in Guidance on Thursday, October 13th at 9:35.
