Announcements:

 

Any 8th Grade Girl interested in running Cross Country next fall, there will be a short meeting in Mrs. Moser’s room today (Tuesday, May 24) during study hall.

 

West Delaware Boys High School Cross Country…there will be a short meeting today (Tuesday) after school for all 8th grade boys interested in Cross Country from 3:30-3:45 in the Middle School Commons.

 

This year there were over 100 entries for the Earth Day Photo Contest. The middle school staff and students voted on the top 16 photos and Mr. Zietlow, a former Science teacher, and Mrs. Martens, a former P.E. teacher placed the top photos in order…Here are the results for student photos:

The top 4 photos will receive Dairy Queen gift cards. Stop in the last day of school to claim your prize from Mrs. Neil. Last year’s winners and this year’s entries can be picked up in the front of Mrs. Neil’s door. And don’t forget to take more photos this summer for next year’s contest! Have a great rest of the week!

 

Interested in exploring the world of speech?  Do you like improv, making films, or telling stories?  Come to the WD high school speech camp on Friday June 3rd. Make sure to grab a yellow form outside the middle school office and turn in as soon as possible.

 

Attention 8th graders:
Interested in acting in front of others?  Doing improv skits like you see on TV?  Creating radio broadcasts?  Miming out stories for others without talking?  Getting important communication skills for your adult life? 
If any of this describes you then you need to come out for speech in high school.  Please return the slips you received to your homeroom teacher if you are interested in getting more information.  If you need another information packet please come see Mr. Hegland in the middle school office.

 

There will be a high school volleyball meeting for all girls going out next season on Wednesday, May 25th at 7:00am in Mr. Mather’s room. Make arrangements to attend.

 

There are 30 extra copies of color yearbooks this year. First come-first serve. The price is $14.00. Pay Mr. Lott, Mrs. Neil or Mrs. Zebuhr in the Middle School office.

 

Media Center End of Year

Wed., May 25th …ALL ITEMS DUE BACK before end of the day.

All fines are now due and must be paid as they are earned or detentions will be assigned. Please take care of fines and late books that you have as soon as possible.
