Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship education is a vehicle for bringing academics together with career and technical education.  The Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education has published the National Content Standards for Entrepreneurship Education that defines the field and encourages the use of entrepreneurship as context for academic skill development as well as content for understanding the processes inherent in our entrepreneurial economy.
Programs are emerging at all levels of education, from elementary through high school, college and adult education that provide students with increasingly advanced expertise in creating and running a business.
This class along with the Virtual Business—Sports simulation reinforce the related skills and vocational instruction associated with entrepreneurship education.

Virtual Business—Sports is a highly visual simulation of a football franchise. It introduces concepts in sports and entertainment marketing, sports management, and entrepreneurship.

Phase 1: Lessons
Each lesson introduces one decision that needs to be made in a business at a time.

Phase 2:New Franchise Project
Partnerships create and grow franchises over several seasons. As the business becomes more profitable, new and more difficult business challenges will appear.

Phase 3: Multiplayer Competition
Head-to-Head competition against classmates in a simulated league provides the most exciting and motivating format.
