Module 3 Introduction

We get into checking in Module 3. Its time to really take a look at ways for you to manage your income.

You will first learn how to open a checking account and all the tricks that go with it.

We then continue on showing you how to manage your money using the a checking account.

The unit is concluded with other ways you can make payments and transfer money.

Activity 3.1 Personal Checking

Objective: After asking family members, the learner will be able to explain the value a checking/sharedraft account has to family members and describe what financial institution is used by the family in a post.

DIRECTIONS

This unit turns personal as you take a look at your own personal finances. You will need to do some research. Ask your family the following questions.

  1. Who in your family has a checking or share draft account?
  2. If so, in what financial institution is that account?
  3. Why is this financial institution used?
  4. How long have you had a checking account or how soon will you get one?
