3.3 Parts of a Check

Objective: After researching the parts of a check in either the textbook or from online resources, the learner will correctly create a blank check including all key components based on the rubric provided.

Assignment

  1. Download the Powerpoint presentation and create your own blank check. This Powerpoint is modified to the exact dimensions of an actual check.
  2. The following elements of a check must be included in your blank check.
    1. Actual city or state number (ABA)
    2. Actual bank’s individual number (ABA)
    3. Federal Reserve Number (ABA)
    4. Drawer
    5. Drawer’s Signature (leave space)
    6. Payee (leave space)
    7. Written Date Amount in Words (leave space)
    8. Amount in Figures (leave space)
    9. Drawee Purse of Check (leave space)
    10. Bank’s identification code for electronic sorting and routing
    11. Drawer’s account number for electronic sorting
    12. Drawer’s Signature (leave space)
  3. Other optional elements are color, font choices, and images.

Directions: Today's journey is an 80 mile trip to Joplin. We have nothing else planned so find two vehicles for sale online within 60 miles of your trip down Highway 65 to Joplin, Missouri that will meet your needs.

  1. Post both of you car choices in a single blog post.
  2. Include the make and models of the cars
  3. The cost
  4. Links to both Websites where photos of the cars are located
  5. Explain why either of these cars will fit your needs.
